The Story

Eayan saw the clock. It was 8. "Looks like it was also a dream. I am getting late, should quickly get ready."

He went to kitchen and asked Mom, "Why did you not wake me up? I have to reach school before 9."
Mom saw him strangely, "Are you all right? Last evening you did not wake up and now want to go to school on Sunday!"
"Its Sunday!"
"Of course."

Eayan was surprised a lot. "So it was not a dream. I will have to do something of this Master Aragdo." Thinking this, he went to breakfast table. That day went as Sundays go, quickly. Next morning, he got up at 5. "Ah, now I won’t be late."
"You will have to be late. My son!" A mysterious voice came.
"Who? Who is there? Come out."
"You know me. Or not?" Master Aragdo came out of no where.
"You again? Leave me alone. Please!"
"Come with me, you have to save Shadow Star."
"I can’t.. I have told you before and now again I am telling you. Mom, come here, a thug is in our home!" Eayan Shouted
"It’s no use screaming Eayan! I know much of magic. Do not try to call your mom. She can’t hear or see you!" Master Aragdo said with a smile on his face. "Come with me, now!" saying this, he put his staff down on the ground."

A white light flashed at once. Eayan closed his eyes, it was too bright for human eyes. After 2 seconds, he opened his eyes and found himself at a strange place. He was not seeing this for first time. It was Master Aragdo’s lab.
"Why have you brought me here? What do you want?"

"I just want to tell you an old story. It was 2091, 1st December, when those aliens attacked us. They were lesser in number. Just a few thousands. But they did not fight among themselves as humans did. They conquered smaller nations one by one. The big fishes were happy. They did not do anything to save people in those small countries. Aliens used older technologies which these nations did not possess. Big nations thought that their technology was inferior and concentrated on self-defence. aliens conquered more than 50 small countries in just 29 days. Then arrived the main fleet. The big cargo ships that carried thousands of aliens and more advanced weapons with them arrived. Sensing danger, 15 nations formed the "Defence League". But it was too late. Before the league could strike, Aliens invaded 50 more nations in just 5 hours. Now aware of their modern technology, the League planned to launch attacks. But those plans never turned to reality. The League was destroyed. Every single soldier in the army was killed. They killed all the humans they encountered. A little group planned to escape. It consisted of 50 ships. These 50 ships were te most advanced ships we had. One big question that we had was of the destination. Where we could go? Earth was our only home. No other planet like Earth was known to us. But we had to leave."



"Then how did you find Shadow Star?" Eayan asked curiously.

"Seems like you are interested." Aragdo said.

"We are taught about old technology in school. This has never been told."

"So, that fool wants to stay alive by old technology. I told him but he doesn’t understand."

"Who fool?"

"Our, sorry, your leader, Andrew."

"What are you saying?" Eayan at once grew angry. "Do you know what you are saying? He is our hero."

"He’s a complete coward. You don’t know the reality."

"He’s not a coward........."

"He is." Aragdo said interrupting Eayan. He seemed very angry. But he cooled down in almost a second.

"The happenings were more complex than you think, my son. That day, many things happened. Our survival was just a coincidence."

"How did you all survived?"

"That’s a long story Eayan, a very long story."

"I want to hear that."



"Not now. I will meet you tomorrow." Saying this, Aragdo took out a black crystal from his pocket.

"Take this Crystal. Always keep it with you. You will soon need it."

Eayan without willingness, took the crystal. It was diamond shaped black transparent crystal.

"You are ready to go, I assume."

"Yes, I am."

Again a white light flashed and Eayan found himself in his bed.
